Fortnite announced that it’s more than ready for the arrival of both next-gen consoles next week. Once the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X/S drops, Fortnite is going to be available to download immediately. Fortnite on next-gen consoles is not just going to be a tweaked last-gen build, as there are new native Fortnite builds that should make the most of what the new consoles have to offer.
In a post, the Fortnite team said this version is a good way for new players to join the game while allowing those who’ve been playing to continue their progress. The team went on to say that it doesn’t matter if “you’re a veteran player or looking to play for the first time, you’ll be able to download the game on your new console Day 1 and enjoy a truly “next-gen” Fortnite experience.”
