The changes aren’t massive, but go a long way toward tightening up this early access multiplayer experience, and it’s good to see some finer issues getting a quick pass from the team at Epic. The volume of footsteps in particular has long been discussed by fans. While the fixes there aren’t yet complete, it’s obvious that shortcoming will be ironed out soon.
Aside from fixing the game itself, it’s been a pretty busy few days for Fortnite and Fortnite Battle Royale. Recent updates added a new silenced pistol to the game alongside a limited game mode called Sneaky Silencers. Login issues partially plagued the event, but lots of players still got their feet wet with the new gun. We expect to see more refinements similar to patch 2.1 in the weeks ahead.
Fortnite and Fortnite Battle Royale are available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
