Forza Motorsport 6's monthly car pack is back and this time the latest expansion will arrive on July 12. Last month's offering was a little light – it was just one car, but that one car was the latest Ford GT LM racing car to celebrate 2016’s 24 Hours of Le Mans. This month, it's back to business as usual. But with a twist.
Turn 10 Community Manager Brian Ekberg revealed the upcoming Forza 6 car pack will arrive on July 12 and deliver something we’ve “never driven before in a Forza game,” but couldn't offer any more hints than that:
"I’d love to spill the beans on each of the cars in the pack, but I enjoy my job, so I won’t do that," Ekberg teased. "Instead I’ll say this: Prepare to drive something you’ve never driven before in a Forza game. Ooohhh, the mystery! July 12. Get hyped."
Oh the mystery, indeed! Via GTPlanet, Turn 10 Creative Director Dan Greenawalt was a guest on a Smoking Tire Podcast with host Matt Farah, and mentioned the type of potential new vehicles that may arrive to Forza Horizon 3, which, by extension, gives us a hint on what sort of things may arrive in Forza 6's future.
One of the details Greenawalt announced was the team's efforts to develop a physics engine suited to vehicles with a shorter wheelbase, including the likes of three-wheeled cars. Matt Farah did ask whether or not the Morgan Three-Wheeler will be in the roster of Horizon 3, but Greenawalt remains coy about specifics for now.
The next Forza 6 car pack arrives July 12. Stay tuned as we learn more in the days ahead!
