Forza Horizon 3 has just been released to high critical acclaim, but those who splurge on the special edition may find it’s not so special. According to VG247, the $100 version of Forza Horizon 3 does not include both planned expansions.
The expansion pass, which is already available to purchase, will cost $35 to get the two planned expansions in Forza Horizon 3. Those who buy the Ultimate Edition will not be getting this content bundled in with the game, but will get a $10 discount for the expansion pass if they choose to purchase it. The pass will have to be bought by the end of the year to claim the discount.
Both expansions have yet to be revealed, but will likely be similar to previous Forza Horizon expansions. Forza Horizon 2’s Storm Island expansion, for example, added a new location and new activities to try out. The first expansion for Forza Horizon 3 will release some time around the holidays, while the second one is planned for sometime in 2017.
As for what IS included in the Forza Horizon 3 Ultimate Edition, players will get early access to the game, the Car Pass, a VIP membership and the Motorsport All-Star car pack. Those who buy a physical copy of the Ultimate Edition also get a Steel Book case for the game disc.
