Game of Thrones Season 6 episode 2 begins with Bran and the Three Eyed Raven looking at a young Ned Stark fight his younger brother Benjen Stark.
Yes, that was cool, but this is what you actually need to know about the episode.
1. Ramasy Bolton
And then there’s Ramasy Bolton. That bastard wasted no time taking Winterfell. As soon as Roose Bolton got word Walda Frey gave birth to a son, Ramasy shoved a knife into daddy dearest. Ramasy then fed Walda and his baby brother to his dogs. And you thought your family had issues.
2. Tyrion unchains the Dany’s kids
Tyrion Lannister tested out his knowledge of dragons by unchaining Rhaegal and Viserion. He walked up to Dany’s babies like, “it’s okay, I’m cool with your mom.” Rhaegal and Viserion looked at Tyrion like, “alright, you may speak.” Tyrion is able to unchain the dragons so they can eat.
3. Sansa’s going to Castle Black
Sansa will try to seek refuge in Castle Black. Unbeknownst to Sansa, her bastard brother Jon Snow is super dead. Meanwhile, Theon says goodbye to Sansa as he knows he’s not safe with her. That's about it.
4. Jon Snow lives
Yeah, you read that correctly. Ser Davos convinced Melisandre to try her magic on Jon Snow’s corpse. Melisandre hesitantly agrees. The Red Woman bathes Jon Snow’s bloody corpse, shaves him and cuts his hair. She drops his hair into the fire. Melisandre prays to the Lord of Light. She begs her God to bring Jon back. It appears she’s failed and she leaves the room. Ser Davos and Tormund leave with her.
Then Jon takes a breath and everything is right in the world again. The kid is back!
