Scripts for Game of Thrones Season 7 have started going out to cast members. After six seasons the cast has grown adept at avoiding the spoilers and slips that characterize so many entertainment scoops. Emilia Clarke and Peter Dinklage aren’t going to accidentally reveal their double dragon assault on the Blackwater. But while major spoilers may not slip out of various famous mouths, who would dare begrudge them an excited reaction or two?
And so now we have Maisie Williams tweeting out some of her reactions to reading all about Arya Stark’s adventures in Game of Thrones Season 7.
Maisie’s reaction doesn’t exactly blow the plot of Season 7 wide open, but Kit Harington has some thoughts as well. While the Jon Snow actor hasn’t actually read his scripts yet, his vision of an “it’s darkest before the dawn” season seems like a solid bet. Here’s what he told The Hollywood Reporter:
“It’s important to stress at this point that I haven’t had any scripts, so this is all guess work for me. I think it’s going to get very bleak before if there is a happy ending. If there’s any sort of win or heroic moment for Jon and everyone else. I think it’s going to get very dark before it gets better. I think what we might see this season is those White Walkers and that Army of the Dead really come into force. So that’s going to be exciting to see. I don’t know what it means. I think with the whole “winter is finally here” business, it means everyone is going to have a really bad time.”
Game of Thrones Season 7 doesn’t have a premiere date yet, so keep waiting.
