If you're in the mood for a bit of 80s nostalgia, then you have to check out what iam8bit Presents has in store. In partnership with Retrotainment and Topps, iam8bit is releasing a new NES game titled Garbage Pail Kids: Mad Mike and the Quest for Stale Gum.
If you still have that retro console, go ahead and pre-order it here. If not, don’t worry since it's coming digitally on October 25 to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
In a statement, Retrotainment Producer Tim Hartman revealed that they've always wanted to bring back Garbage Pail Kids, especially in 8-bit form. He added that they feel honored to have been allowed to make this game.
Meanwhile, iam8bit co-owners and co-creative directors Jon M. Gibson and Amanda White shared that making a game within the bounds of what's possible while using NES development tools needed a lot of imagination. They added that this game is a relic from the past that's seen through the lens of the present and developed by old-school maestros.
