GoPro is adding another action camera to its line this year. Announced in December, the GoPro ‘Karma’ will double as a drone. The 360-degree, 4k camcorder has a lot of competition with existing drone cameras like the DJI Phantom 3 Professional, but this latest video teaser looks promising.
As GoPro suffers from lower than expected earnings, the company could be banking on the ‘Karma’ to pick up momentum. Even though any 4K, 360-degree camera drone is bound to impress, no details have been revealed about the internal hardware. While the original announcement video was impressive, it wasn’t anything drone-fanatics haven't seen before. Sure, this latest video proves GoPro’s definitely got something impressive in the works, but we still didn’t get a good look at the camera drone itself.
The GoPro Karma video features professional freeskier Bobby Brown testing out the Karma on the slopes first hand. However, you may have noticed that GoPro has conveniently edited the reflection of the GoPro Karma from Brown’s goggles so that we won’t be able to tell exactly what the new flying drone will look like just yet. Sean O’Kane of The Verge pointed out the sneaky move in his tweet:
