Well, it's been great while it lasted – Gran Turismo Sport beta will finally end this week on Sunday, July 16. The next time we may get an opportunity to play the game will be when it eventually arrives later this year.

The news was first announced via @fu_ko1221111 on Twitter. Via Google Translate, the tweet pretty much says, "Gran Turismo sports closed beta testing to the closed beta test close 7/16/2017, 23:00 (Japan time) are scheduled to end."
Thanks to the GT Sport beta, we actually learned a lot about what we can expect when the full game arrives. Last week, a new beta update introduced new elements including damage and consumables. Pit stops are also more complex than ever before, with full crew animation, changing tires, refuelling, as well as the option to move the car into the garage to repair damaged components.
If you're one of the lucky few that was able to get beta access, this is your last week to squeeze in a little bit of seat time before it ends July 16. Stay tuned as we learn more about the full Gran Turismo Sport game in the months ahead.
