This is probably the longest-running GTA 5 rumor of all time, but it's a new year and we're still talking about a possible new GTA 5 Casino DLC Update. Once again, game files continue to suggest new gambling game modes and activities.
According to rumors from as far back as March 2015, the highly anticipated GTA 5 Casino update could not only deliver minigames including poker, blackjack, roulette, and slots, but also horse race betting, and a lottery system. More than half a year later, the content rumors are still more or less the same, but there are new rumors regarding exactly how we'll be receiving the new content.
Earlier this week GTA 5 tipster Funmw2 shared an intriguing post on a thread in GTA Forums regarding things gone missing from GTA Online since 2013:
The post doesn't really get into much in regards to the Casino DLC other than suggest that casino will be coming in an SP DLC. Funmw2 later followed up with additional posts in the GTA Forums The Next DLC Discussion Thread:
So there you have it: Funmw2 claims the Casino update will be arriving in two GTA 5 DLCs, both Single Player and Multiplayer. Given that Funmw2 posted the information in "The Next DLC Discussion Thread," it also suggests that the Casino DLC could actually be coming very soon. Once again, the game codes emphasize that the update will deliver three minigames: Blackjack, Poker, and Slot. However, we're not really sure why the previously mentioned Roulette game is no longer rumored.
But here we are. After more than two years since the game's release, we're back to GTA 5 Casino DLC release date rumors. That said, there's certainly more than enough evidence from game codes to suggest that Casino will arrive sooner or later, not to mention the Casino building itself with the "Coming Soon" banner hanging since Day 1.
Stay tuned as we learn more about the Casino DLC in the days, weeks, months, or (SIGH) year ahead. Be sure to check out the video from GTA 5 tipster and YouTuber Funmw2 below:
