Over the past weekend, GTA Online insiders have shared several tweets and forum posts that offer contradicting information regarding what players can expect in the December DLC. But according to the most recent leaks, the GTA 5 December update could be Gunrunning Part 2.
The trend of GTA Online December DLC leaks first started after Rockstar had finally released the last bits of drip content from Smuggler's Run—the P-996 Lazer fighter jet and the Transform Race Creator tool released on Nov. 28. Now that Smuggler's Run has finally come to an end, fans look forward to what's next.
Via initial reports from GTA YouTuber MrBossFTW, several reliable insiders suggested the next update could be I'm Not A Hipster Part 2 :
However, GTA tipster Yan2295 followed the I'm Not A Hipster Part 2 rumors with a cryptic message on the GTA Forums. Shortly, fellow forum members solved the riddle:
Most recently, tipster BenDeR_ brought Gunrunning Part 2 back on the table. Part 2 was allegedly in the works following the Gunrunning DLC. However, Rockstar delivered Smuggler's Run instead. Here's what BenDeR_ had to say:
Given the similarity of Smuggler's Run to Gunrunning, the second scenario feels the most plausible. While Gunrunning offered weaponized vehicles, Smuggler's Run introduced more weaponized aircraft. Could the next DLC offer weapons seacraft to finish off the trifecta?
A new DLC in the vein of Gunrunning and Smuggler's Run sounds pretty boring--it suggests Rockstar will retread an old theme with a slight variation in presentation. However, the Rockstar Newswire teased some info back in October that suggests that's exactly what it plans to do:
"Plus, look out for more to come to GTA Online later this year, including new Weaponized Vehicles and inventory updates at Legendary Motorsport, new properties coming on the market via Maze Bank Foreclosures and more…"
Whatever the update may be, insiders agree players can expect new content will come in December. What are you excited to see in an upcoming GTA Online DLC? Let us know in the comment section below.
