Guilty Gear Strive is a fighting game catered for Guilty Gear fans. This is one of the most newbie-friendly games in the entire franchise, which means anyone can enjoy the game. In Update 1.16, the developers have added a new playable character, a new stage, and even made some network changes to improve connection times.
New Playable Character
The latest entry into the Guilty Gear Strive roster is the Elegant Grim Reaper, Testament. Testament was once a human but has been modified to fight as a Gear. This Gear can use blood magic and crimson scythe in battle. Testament is an easy-to-use character, graded 4/5 stars by developers in the “easy to use” department.
New Stage
The developers introduced an additional stage for White House Reborn in this update. However, Battle Stage 2 is not free. It can be purchased in-store, and obviously, the players will require the base game to try out the stage.

- The BGM items can be accessed after obtaining them via “fishing.”
- Reduced the connection time for some network connections.
- Due to this change, the avatar icons displayed on the Ranking screen, etc. will not be displayed until logging in after applying the Ver 1.16 patch.
- In Player Matches, the match will no longer start until the spectator is ready.
- When viewing other players’ R-Codes, you can now cancel loading with the cancel button.
- Added new Digital Figure Mode, where players can create original dioramas by combining characters and scenery that appear in the game.
- This mode can be accessed via Collection > Figure from the Main Menu
- A network connection is required to upload your works and view those of other players. See here for more details about Digital Figure Mode.
- Added a dedicated fishing option for only Digital Figure related items.
- Digital Figure Mode items for Testament will be added in a later update.
- Fixed minor bugs.
