Silicon Valley Season 3 premieres April 24, the same day as Game of Thrones Season 6. After your favorite probably character dies in the premiere episode, flip on Silicon Valley, a show about the dumbest smart people you’ve ever met trying to run a startup. HBO just released a trailer for Season 3, which picks back up at the moment Richard is ousted as CEO of Pied Piper.
Richard is obviously upset seeing he’s basically now just an employe of his own company. “You have created a company too valuable for you to run,” said CEO of Raviga Capital, Laurie Beam. ‘Action’ Jack Barker, who Erlich Bachman calls a ‘grey haired fossil,’ has replaced Richard. Barker will be played by Stephen Tobblowsky (Californication). Erin Breen (Fate Accompli) will join the cast as Jan, a new Pied Piper salesperson.
In the trailer, Elrich is seen throwing dollar bills while riding a unicorn dressed as the Pied Piper himself during what looks to be an absolutely ridiculous Pied Piper promo. The 8-episode Season 3 will most likely just focus on Richard taking back control of his company. Silicon Valley usually keeps the plot simple and focuses on dry geeky humor and socially inept character storylines. The series has received critical acclaim as one of very few successful contemporary comedies with 100% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
