The newest Hearthstone expansion, Journey To Un’Goro , is just two and a half weeks away and we know so little about it. Only 15 cards have been revealed, the lowest in any set so far, and players are starting to get antsy waiting for their dinosaur cards. Personally, I think these cards are amazing and if they are any clue on how this set will play out, it could signal a whole new era for Blizzard’s Azeroth themed card game.
New mechanics tend to throw Hearthstone players into confusion and Journey To Un’Goro is packed with them. From Quests to Elementals, the savage land set is going to shake up the meta with massive, power cards. My personal favorite – of the ones revealed so far – has to be Swamp King Dred , who almost makes Hunter worth playing again. It’s a seven-mana 9/9 Legendary that attacks any minion your opponent plays. That means your opponent won’t be able to build up a board presence when you’ve got this dino on the field, unless they have Divine Shield or a minion with over 10 health.
Either hope you have a Polymorph or removal, because if you don’t, this dinosaur is going to eat you alive. Hunters have always been shafted with new Legendaries – Knuckles from Mean Streets Of Gadgetzan was absolute trash. It makes me so happy to see my favorite class get a busted Legendary that could propel Rexxar to OP status. My mouth waters at the thought of Houndmaster buffing this guy.
