Do you hear that gurgling in the distance, that distinct smell of fish guts and garbage that’s wafting through the air? That must mean new murlocs have been discovered in Hearthstone’s latest expansion, Journey To Un’Goro .
Let’s take a look at some of these playful critters before one tries to bite our hands off.
Primalfin Lookout- Murloc Paladin needed another buff, seriously Blizzard? If you control a Murloc, doesn’t matter if it’s Sir Finley or Murloc Knight , you can Discover a random Murloc. As long as you don’t get Murloc Tinyfin or Coldlight Oracle, you are getting a pretty good fishman. Be warned, if you are trying to OTK with Anyfin Can Happen , this little guy might take up much needed space on the board and screw up your combo. Nobody wants to see this primeval parasite when they could have Bluegill Warrior.
Unite The Murlocs- Quests are the big “mechanic” in this expansion, and after getting peeks at the Priest and Warlock cards, we get our first look at what Shaman is bringing to the table. I’m really happy they didn’t add an Overload quest, that would have been much easier to achieve. Murlocs and Thrall have never really blended together well, Everyfin Is Awesome and Call In The Finishers were never really good, but this card might just change that. Completing the Quest unlocks you...
Megafin- Now this big guy is just fun. It’s not as powerful as The Warden Of Hope , which turns your health to 40 if you can summon seven Deathrattle minions in Priest, but it’s still good. Murloc Shaman has very little card draw or ways to build up hand advantage, and this giant might be the key to solving that problem. It’s not going to win you the game on it’s own, especially if it fills your hands with six Murloc Tinyfins , but it’s a solid combo starter.
