The Hitman Beta is coming back to the PS4 in March for those of you who missed out the first time around.
Square Enix confirmed on PlayStation Blog the Hitman Beta will reopen for PS4 users the weekend of March 4. The beta is exclusive to the PlayStation Plus members. Square Enix also responded to the feedback from the first round of beta players by adding new components to the game.
“On top of Contracts Mode, which you may be familiar with from Absolution, we’re also introducing new modes to Hitman ,” Square Enix wrote. “Elusive Targets are the closest thing to the Hitman fantasy that we’ve ever created. You’ll get only one chance to take them down during a limited-time in real time. They each come with a unique backstory and you’ll get in-game rewards for completing multiple Elusive Target Contracts.”
They’ve also added an Escalation Mode to Hitman that will throw challenges at you to show off their fun game mechanics. For example, they might ask you to get rid of security footage in two minutes, but change where the location of the footage while setting off random trip wires, Square Enix explained on the blog.
There’s another option if you want to play the Hitman beta, but aren’t sure if you want to spend the money on a PlayStation Plus membership. Sony offers a free two-week trial for its PlayStation Plus service. A one-month PlayStation Plus membership also only costs $9.99. Check out the PlayStation Plus membership options here.
Hitman will be released on the PS4, Xbox One and PC on March 11.
