For Honor is an action-faction game that includes fantasy and medieval settings. The game was released in 2017 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
In the game, players take on the role of a character coming from one of four factions. These are the Iron Legion (Knights), the Warborn (Vikings), the Dawn Empire (Samurai), and the Wu Lin (Ancient Chinese). What makes the game unique compared to others in the same genre is that each hero in each faction has quotes in their own language. The Knights use Latin while Vikings speak, clearly, Icelandic. Obviously, the Samurai speak Japanese, and the Chinese use Mandarin. Plus, a total of 28 heroes to choose from that were divided into nine for the Iron Legion, five for the Wu Lin, and seven each for the Dawn Empire and the Warborn.
Upon release, For Honor received mainly favorable reviews. It was ranked as the 25th best game of 2017 and even won the Best Fighting Game category during the 2017 People's Choice Award.
