The rumors of Horizon Zero Dawn coming to the PC platform look like they might turn into a reality after the game was spotted on Amazon France, with Sony as the publisher.
It came as a bit of a surprise that for the first time, a Sony-owned title was appearing on a different platform. Although there were multiple hints that Death Stranding, which was funded by Sony, will be coming to PC, the guesses turned out to be true when an official date for the game was announced.
Apparently, Horizon Zero Dawn is expected to launch on PC sometime in 2020. The game is built on Guerilla Games' Decima Engine, the same engine on which Death Stranding is built on. Given that Death Stranding is already being ported to PC, it does make sense to port another big title once everything has started working.
However, there's one question that's lingering in our minds - whether or not non-Decima games will receive the same treatment? Will other leading Sony games like God of War, Uncharted and The Last of Us take this massive turn towards multiplatform status? There have been several rumors that Sony will continue focusing on PS5 exclusives, so it will be interesting to see how the company handles PC ports.
Talking about the Horizon Zero Dawn being listed on Amazon, there isn't any additional information regarding this claim. It could be very much possible that it could have been a mistake from an employee. At the same time, it also ties up all the previous rumors regarding the game being ported to PC.
Another fun fact: Horizon Zero Dawn will be celebrating its third anniversary on February 28 and we wouldn't be surprised if all these rumors turn into an official announcement from Sony or Guerilla Games.
The PC version of the game may also include the Frozen Wilds expansion, which was released in 2017. The game also bagged the GOTY award in 2017 and went on to sell over 10 million copies. With the amount of success Horizon Zero Dawn has received, a sequel is practically guaranteed and it could be in development for the PlayStation 5.
