Buzz surrounding Electric Zoo 2016 is heating up. Headliners for the electronic music festival have been announced and organizers are currently offering two-day, Saturday and Sunday passes at a special rate.
But festival goers also have the chance to get their pass for free, if they are willing to put in a little work. Fans can sign up for the Electric Zoo Ambassador Program , through which they can receive a free pass to the festival after selling eight passes to others.
Those who sign up online will be contacted by Made Events with further instructions on how the ambassador program works. Ambassadors may also have a chance to get additional perks, including VIP upgrades and meet-and-greet opportunities with artists performing at Electric Zoo.
Electric Zoo takes place Sept. 2-4 at Randall’s Island in New York City. Three-day passes currently start at $229.99, while two-day , Saturday and Sunday passes start at $159.99. Organizers will likely announce price and availability for single-day tickets at a later date. Ferry or bus transportation passes are sold separately, for $50 and $60 respectively.
