Watching Sony’s E3 press briefing has arguably never been easier than it is in 2017. The event, which begins at 9:00 p.m., will be broadcast on a plethora of digital platforms, including popular streaming services like Twitch and YouTube. Some fans will also be enjoying the final wave of pre-E3 announcements from the comfort of a movie theater in their neighborhood.
Sony is wrapping up a big an announcement-packed weekend of E3 pressers. We’ve already seen huge announcements from Bethesda, EA, Microsoft and Ubisoft. closing out a tidal wave of newsworthy announcements from an assortment of game developers and publishers. And even though it’s kind of difficult to imagine Sony outshining a cornucopia of reveals that includes Anthem, Beyond Good & Evil 2, Metro Exodus, State of Decay 2 and Skull & Bones. But we’re also expecting the company’s lineup to include powerhouse franchises like Destiny 2, God of War and maybe even a little Final Fantasy VII Remake or Kingdom Hearts 3. And who knows what sorts of surprises Sony has up its sleeve.
Millions have been watching the press conferences on Twitch, including most of the Player.One staff, and Sony’s press conference will also be broadcast on the Amazon-backed service.
But we know there are also millions of gamers who still prefer YouTube. Fortunately, Sony’s E3 presser is available there too:
Sony says it has more than 15 hours of content planned for E3 Week, beginning with a press conference pre-show that begins at 8:00 p.m. They’ll also be broadcasting on Facebook Live throughout the week and the PlayStation Experience will return to theaters across North and South America. And some of the games from the press conference are bound to pop up in other places throughout the week.
