The price of the HTC Vive has been announced ahead of official MWC 2016 kickoff. The VR headset will cost $799, is available to pre-order Feb. 29, and will ship early April.

The Vive Consumer Edition box contains the head-mounted display, two wireless controllers, two Vive base stations, a Vive Link box, and Vive earbuds. HTC reportedly made a few subtle changes from the Vive Pre. The headset has a new head strap with a more polished finish, updated ergonomics, and a built in microphone. The Vive also has better iOS and Android smartphone functionality dubbed ‘Vive Phone Services.’ Answer calls, view text messages without having to stop what you're doing or remove the headset.

Right now, the Vive is bundled with two VR games: Job Simulator: The 2050 Archives and Fantastic Contraption . HTC will offer PC and graphic card bundles, but no specific details have been revealed. The minimum requirement for the Vive is a Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or an AMD Radeon R9 290 card.

HTC Vive costs $200 more than the Oculus Rift upfront, which received backlash for its high price point when factoring in the necessary computer components. Pre-order the Vive starting at 10 a.m. ET, Feb. 29. Delivery is expected in early April.
