Game developer Insomniac has just released a mysterious video on YouTube teasing their next game. Based on the tease, the game will have something to do with the ocean, or going underwater. Insomniac says they will be releasing more information on the game on Jan. 28 at 9:30 am Eastern.
As the short video shows, we see a bunch of buildings that have been destroyed and completely submerged underwater. As the camera continues to descend, we see strange ancient statues. These carvings all appear to be somewhat tribal in nature.
The camera continues down into the depths of the water, and the message “Dive deeper” shows up surrounded by moving gears.
While we know Insomniac is wrapping things up with the reimagined Ratchet & Clank, this teaser shows that the company is already looking to their next project. What’s more exciting, personally, is that this new project seems to be a new property and not a sequel or remake.
As for what this tease actually is, it looks like we’ll just have to keep our eyes on the Insomniac Twitter feed for more details until the morning of Jan. 28.
