Jurassic World Evolution has just launched its latest paid DLC, Claire’s Sanctuary, alongside a myriad of changes implemented in Free Update 1.8. Claire’s Sanctuary continues the story of Jurassic World Evolution with an all-new campaign and brand-new story missions that will decide the fate of everything and everyone in Jurassic World.
For a bit more flavor, here’s the official description of what’s going to take place in Claire’s Sanctuary, courtesty of the official Jurassic World Evolution website:
“Time is running out as the once dormant Mt. Sibo is expected to erupt at any minute and is threatening to send the dinosaurs of Isla Nublar back to extinction. Leap into action with Claire Dearing, voiced by Bryce Dallas Howard, as you work together on this rescue mission to save these magnificent creatures.”
In addition to the new narrative, the paid Claire’s Sanctuary DLC will also allow players to unlock three new dinousaurs, namely the Albertosaurus, the Euoplocephalus and the Ouranosaurus, bringing new challenges to Jurassic World Evolution. DLC owners will also be given access to paleobotany features and the new Greenhouse facility to help further research towards exctinct plant species for dinosaur enclosures.
Fortunately, even without the new paid DLC, returning players will have plenty to look forward to with all the changes being implemented in Free Update 1.8. The free update will be available to all players, and will include several fan-requested features. Free Update 1.8 adds new terrain and scenery items such as rocks, trees, shrubs, and even adds the option change terrain in select locations. Spinosaurids will also be getting some much needed attention, particularly regarding their care and the addition of wetlands to better showcase their swamp and coastal habitats. With the new gyrosphere improvements, players will now be able to enjoy automatic gates to better impress their visitors with a park-wide tour of every available exhibit.
Jurassic World Evolution: Claire’s Sanctuary DLC is available on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation for $14.99, but the new features and content additions included in Free Update 1.8 will be available to all players regardless of DLC purchase.
