The Justice League movie has begun filming overseas and some media outlets were invited to the set to take a look at what the follow-up to Batman vs Superman has to offer.
With the set visit, Warner Bros. has released the first official synopsis for Justice League that bridges the gap between BvS and the DC Comics super team movie. As many may have guessed after watching Batman vs Superman, Bruce Wayne will be gathering the rest of the League to face off against a brand new threat.
Here’s the Justice League synopsis.
“Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.”
Along with the synopsis for Justice League, the new Justice League logo was released.
There are also early reports the team-up film will be more fun and lighter than Batman vs Superman. And yes, BvS director Zack Snyder is still set to direct the Justice League film but perhaps the shakeup at Warner Bros. and criticism of BvS changed the direction of the film.
The first photo of Batman’s new batmobile was also released, which you can see below.
Justice League will star Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher.
Justice League is set to release Nov. 17, 2017.
