Rockstar’s murder mystery game L.A. Noire is getting the remaster treatment, releasing on PS4, Xbox One and Switch. A VR version will also come to the HTC Vive. This information comes from a post on publisher Take-Two’s website.

“We’re excited to bring L.A. Noire’s unique mix of real detective work, classic Hollywood atmosphere and thrilling action to these new platforms,” said Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games, in the post. “Now with a choice of spectacular virtual reality, stunning 4K, or the freedom of portable play, these enhanced versions are a perfect opportunity for players to experience this richly detailed world in a whole new way."

Like all remasters, the PS4 and Xbox One versions will include graphical enhancements, improved lighting and better textures. L.A. Noire will run at 1080p on PS4 and Xbox One, while running in 4K on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. These versions will also get new “cinematic camera angles,” so there’s that.

The PS4, Xbox One and Switch versions will include the full game, along with all DLC. The Switch version will also get a Joy-Con motion control mode, new wide over-the-shoulder camera angles, and touch screen contextual controls. In the looks department, it sounds like the Switch version will be similar to the original Xbox 360 and PS3 releases.

Additionally, L.A. Noire also heads to the HTC Vive with L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files. This version will only feature a selection of seven cases from L.A. Noire, but those missions have been rebuilt just for VR. Even though this isn’t the full game experience, players will still do everything from inspecting crime scenes to driving, changing radio stations and shooting a gun from your vehicle.

All versions of L.A. Noire debut on Nov. 14.

So what do you think? Are you ready to dive head-first into the world of crime in 1940s Los Angeles? Will this be your first time, or did you play when L.A. Noire was first released on Xbox 360 and PS3? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
