The PC version of The Last of Us Part 1 has received three hotfixes within one week. The latest went live yesterday, and it changed the game version to 1.0.1.7 and brought much-needed fixes.
The patch ensures that the “Reset to Default” function in the graphics menu works as intended and won't make incorrect selections anymore. The in-game HUD performance monitor won’t reduce the game’s performance, and using Alt+Enter to toggle window mode won’t crash the game.
The developer highly recommends players using RTX 3000 series cards to update drivers to Hotfix Version 531.58, which can be found over here. The driver hotfix addresses the game randomly crashing during gameplay. The mouse stutter fix was initially supposed to be released with this patch. However, it has been pushed back to Friday’s patch, which is expected as the biggest update. Hopefully, it will fix the arrow keys issue as well.
Hotfix 1.0.1.7
- Fixed an issue which could cause the Xbox controller stick inputs to erroneously read as zeros for brief periods of time
- Fixed an issue where the “Reset to Default” function in the Graphics menu under Settings could make improper selections
- Fixed an issue where the HUD performance monitors could impact performance when enabled
- Fixed an issue where a crash could occur when using [ALT+ENTER] to toggle between Fullscreen and Windowed modes
- Fixed an issue where a memory crash could occur during the transition from the end of the game into the credits sequence
- Fixed an issue that could cause a crash while the game launched
- Added additional crash report logs to provide further insight for developers
- Added a new feature where users will be prompted to enable additional GPU diagnostic tooling following a GPU-related crash (optional and only enabled for the current gameplay session)
