Gaming's worst-kept secret is finally official. The previously leaked TLOU Remake has been announced by Sony at Summer Game Fest 2022. The game is titled, The Last of Us Part 1 and is a full-fledged remake of the original game.
The remake will release on PS5 on September 2, while a PC version is also in development and will launch at a later date. It will include the single-player campaign along with the story expansion, The Left Behind . However, the multiplayer part is not included.
Improvements over the Original
“We’ve implemented modernized gameplay, improved controls, and expanded accessibility options in this single-player experience to allow even more individuals to enjoy the game. Effects, exploration, and combat have all been enhanced,” Naughty Dog stated in a press release.
You can also expect all the bells and whistles from this remake, including 3D audio, haptics, and adaptive triggers. Reduce loading time and 60 FPS haven't been confirmed, but it's a no-brainer. More information about the remake will be revealed at a later date.

The game was practically confirmed a few hours ago before the announcement at Summer Game Fest 2022. The trailer was leaked hours before it appeared on PlayStation's own page. The online store also went live but was quickly taken down.
