Those voices in the jungle were a champion teaser after all.
On the League of Legends Facebook page , Riot just revealed Ivern, Friend Of The Forest. He looks like a cross between the sad rock in A Never Ending Story and Maokai. In the trailer we can see a hunter about to stab some defenseless little wolf pups, but he can’t. Ivern has him tangled in roots, sparing the lives of those little puppies. League’s newest champion then puts his finger to the ground where a light similar to Bard pops out, creating a bush behind him.
We don’t know anything about the champion yet, but it looks like he will be able to create bushes. If that is the case, Ivern is going to be an extremely fun champion to play. Imagine having a Rengar on your team and creating a bush so the kitty cat can pounce. Ivern has his roots light up, which keeps the hunter from making any noises. I bet he's going to have a Silence as well,
Overall, I’m a fan of Ivern. He’s unique, but not to over the top. Unlike Taliyah, who is pretty bland in her champion design, Ivern has a personality. His beard made of leaves and his red gloves give off a grandfatherly vibe that would fit well sitting alongside Gentleman Cho’Gath.
Expect Ivern to hit the PBE next week.
