Some fans were worried the entire cast of the Legends of Tomorrow would change, but TV Line has confirmed “ a wholesale cast change is not at all in the cards.” However, the DC Comics series may get a brand new character and rumor has it that superhero or supervillain will be introduced in the final scene of the Legends of Tomorrow season 1 finale. Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 spoilers: TV Line also reports you should expect a “beloved superhero from the DC canon” and that his/her mysterious agenda serves as “a launching off point for Season 2.”
The first educated guess for this unnamed addition to the Legends of Tomorrow cast would be Justice League member, Booster Gold. He’s a longtime partner of Rip Hunter and also a fellow time traveler. Blue Beetle could be another option, as he was referenced in episode 7 during a conversation between Kendra and Ray.
Legends of Tomorrow episode 9, “Left Behind,’ will pick back up with White Canary, Ray Palmer and Hawkgirl stuck in 1958 after Chronos stormed the Wave Rider and forced Rip Hunter to take off with only Firestorm and Captain Cold aboard. Probably bored, aimless and alone, the recently released synopsis reveals White Canary will rejoin the League of Assassins. As Arrow fans know, there’s no League of Assassins without Ra's al Ghul. Matt Noble will return to reprise his role as The Demon's Head and Sara’s involvement could spark a change in the timeline. Check out the “Left Behind’ synopsis below:
Ray (Brandon Routh), Sara (Caity Lotz) and Kendra (Ciara Renée) are shocked after they watch the Waverider fly off without them, leaving them stranded in the ‘50s. After waiting months for their teammates to come back, the three realize they must move on with their lives. Ray and Kendra bond as a couple but Sara decides to return to the League of Assassins and Ra’s al Ghul (guest star Matt Nable).
We still have no clues about whether Heat Wave is alive or dead. Did Captain Cold really kill his partner in crime? Find out on the next episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow March 31. The season finale is set for May 19.
