Logitech has revealed a new gaming mouse, the Logitech G Pro Gaming Mouse, that combines the best features of the company’s top two devices into one. It has all the high-end innards you want, wrapped in a basic shell.
The reason for the redesign, according to Logitech, is because this is what pro gamers want. “The benefit of working with eSports players is that they tell us what they like, and more importantly, what they don’t like,” said Ujesh Desai, vice president and general manager of gaming at Logitech, in a press release.
“Our new Logitech G Pro Gaming Mouse takes what eSports pros loved about the G100s and G303 and combines it into a mouse that we’re confident will meet their standards.”
Like the G303, the Logitech G Pro Gaming Mouse will have the PMW3366 sensor and a metal spring button tensioning system to make sure the mouse performs at the best level in gaming right now. The left and right mouse buttons are also tested to withstand over 20 million clicks, so don’t worry about this guy dying on you any time soon.
All of the sensors and buttons come in what is basically the same shape as the G100 mouse. This basic design features smooth contours, not the sharp angles that some found off-putting in the G303.
The one truly new feature is the mouse allows for all sorts of colorful customization, similar to the G810 Orion Spectrum keyboard.
The Logitech G Pro Gaming Mouse will be coming to retailers later this month and sellsfor $69.99.
