There are a ton of little Easter eggs in Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild . You can find the Great Fairies, ride on Epona and even visit the Lon Lon Ranch from Ocarina Of Time . If you don’t remember, the Ranch was where you first found Epona, your trusted horse companion, and learned how to ride her.
How To Find Lon Lon Ranch
Lon Lon Ranch isn’t as beautiful as it was in Ocarina . Open your Hyrule Field Map and look for the “Ranch Ruins” near Hyrule Field Tower. Avoid the Guardian that’s there waiting to end your life and you’ll end up in a burnt down village that looks strangely familiar. It seems that Calamity Ganon’s time in Hyrule did a number to the Ranch that Talon ran all those years ago. I’m hoping a cow knocked over a lamp and burnt the place down instead of the terrible horrors that might have been unleashed there.
The layout is the same as Lon Lon Ranch, but there’s nothing else there. It’s kind of sad when you think about it – Malon worked so hard to maintain those stables and keep the world supplied with Lon Lon Milk. It’s a cute little Easter egg, nodding to past Zelda games. I love when the world of Hyrule feels like an actual place, filled with consistent places, like the Temple Of Time.
