The fast-paced shooter Lost Wing has been confirmed for a release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. This news comes from a press release by publisher 2Awesome Studio and developer BoxFrog Games.
Lost Wing has been described as a game all about speed, guns, and points. It will have you storming your way through brutally-challenging obstacle-ridden environments and destroy mega bosses for a chance to top the leaderboards. Lost Wing’s gameplay revolves around destroying, dodging, and jumping over obstacles that requires the fastest of reaction times. When the going gets too tough for you, you can slow down time to catch a breather, but be prepared for what comes next when time goes back to normal again. Winning allows you access to multiple ships and weapons to choose from so that you can dominate even more. To cap it off, Lost Wing’s uber-fast gameplay is complemented by a neon and sci-fi atmosphere with a procedurally generated deep electronic score that adapts to what happens on the screen. To describe it in the fewest words possible, Tim Ash, Director of BoxFrog Games had this to say: “Ever wondered what would happen if you mixed Wipeout and Thumper and added online leaderboard competition? That's what we set out to do with Lost Wing."
Lost Wing was launched on November 14, 2017 and has been in its Steam Early Access phase since then. It’s safe to assume that most of the game’s kinks and bugs are set to be straightened out since a console release has already been announced. Nevertheless, even after two years since its inception, Lost Wing is currently still sitting at a “Positive” on its Steam page.
No release date for the following consoles has been confirmed yet apart from Lost Wing being scheduled for a 2019 release. Fans should get to know a bit more on how the fast-paced action game feels like to play when it is unveiled at gamescom 2019. Lost Wing will be playable on multiple devices at the specific event. A closed beta will follow shortly after its gamescom 2019 appearance.
