Mafia 3, coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC on Oct. 7, will be getting a big, shiny, new trailer at E3. To get fans hyped, publisher 2K has released a teaser for the trailer, which can be viewed above.
In the video, we have many different scenes of intense action. There’s a car chase with the police, a boat race through what looks to be the sewers, guns causing massive explosions and what seems to be a precursor to MMA.
Going off this trailer, it’s obvious players will be able to drive cars and get into chases against the police. It also seems players will be able to drive other vehicles, including boats. Maybe even more vehicle types like motorcycles will be included as well.
We also get a glimpse into the story of Mafia 3. Our main protagonist, Lincoln Clay, has apparently survived some kind of massacre. In response, Lincoln is waging a war against Sal Marcano, the head of the Marcano criminal family in New Bordeaux. Marcano and his gang will be the primary antagonists in Mafia 3.
There’s only two gameplay hints we get from this teaser. One is nightclubs will probably serve an important role. We can see a brief glimpse of one, with a singer belting out a tune on a stage. The other is that boxing, or whatever kind of fighting it was, will probably be some kind of mini game.
Mafia 3 comes out on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on Oct. 7.
