2k Games has a lot planned for Mafia 3 after its launch. During the 2K Games panel at PAX West on Saturday, the studio revealed a bunch of free content and paid expansions that will be coming to the title.
The free DLC updates will feature new outfits for Lincoln Clay. What's more, we'll also be getting new weapons from the "Judge, Jury, and Executioner" pack, which is slated to arrive a month after Mafia 3's release. Weapons will also be complemented by performance-boosters. And, of course, new vehicle customization options including wheels, paint jobs, and custom plates will be available as well.
Cars are no fun if we can't race 'em. Mafia 3 will deliver a series of races on the gritty streets of New Bordeaux. Win races, earn money, add new custom parts to your ride, repeat.
Finally, 2K will add three major story expansions to Mafia 3 and will reveal the Italian Mafia is just one of many threats that want Lincoln out of the picture.
The first Mafia 3 expansion is "Faster, Baby!" Lincoln joins with his old flame, Roxy Laveau, to take down a corrupt Sheriff in the outskirts of New Bordeaux. The expansion will feature a theme of fast cars and nail biting car chases.
Next, the "Sign of the Times" expansion looks into a string of chilling ritualistic killings in New Bordeaux. Father James asks Lincoln to hunt down the serial killer, which will involve exploring the "dark heart of the old bayou to the drug-ridden counterculture of the inner city."
Finally, the "Stones Unturned" expansion will take us back to the sins of Lincoln's days in Vietnam. An old rival tracks down Lincoln in New Bordeaux. To end this once and for all, Lincoln must work with CIA agent John Donovan.Buy the Mafia III3
