The March Apple event will be delayed from the 15th to the week of the 21st, according to Re/Code . Apple will unveil the iPhone SE, a smaller iPad Pro, and an Apple Watch upgrade one day before Tim Cook is expected to resume his dispute with the U.S. government over access to one of the San Bernardino shooter’s iPhone data. Buzzfeed reports the event will be much smaller than last year, most likely being held at headquarters in Cupertino.
The 4-inch iPhone 5SE is expected to share specs with the iPhone 6S: an A9 Processor, Live Photos, 12-megapixel camera, and NFC for Apple Pay. The only real difference is the lack of 3D Touch. The iPhone 5SE will share the same curved display as the iPhone 6S, but will remain the size of the iPhone 5S. According to MacRumors , KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts the iPhone 5SE will cost $400-500.
A 9.7-inch iPad. is also expected to feature a Smart Connector and new keyboard built to fit its smaller size. It is unclear if the new iPad will be added to the ‘Pro’ or ‘Air’ line. Apple will also unveil new Apple Watch bands.
Korean site Underkg reported the delay earlier this week and specified the event will be held on March 22. The site claims Apple asked its employees to keep their schedules free from the 21st to the 23rd.
