More Marvel is coming your way. ABC has ordered a pilot for a tv show centered around Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. character, Mockingbird. Co-created by S.H.I.E.L.D. producers Jeff Bell and Paul Zbyszewski, the new series will be called Marvel’s Most Wanted. “ We're absolutely doing that one,” ABC President Paul Lee confirmed at the 2016 winter Television Critics Association press tour. “We love the script. We think it's going to be great. We're doing that in the next few months,” he added.

Lee described the series as a spinoff in his announcement, but some sources say the storyline will be new, focusing on the adventures of Agents Bobbi Morse, aka Mockingbird, and Lance Hunter. “ Insiders say the series is not a spinoff, per se, but rather an entirely new project solely focused on the two characters to continue their story. Though plot details are scarce at this point, Marvel’s Most Wanted will follow the pair and their adventures together,” Variety reports .

S.H.I.E.L.D. executive producers Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen told IGN the new show doesn't necessarily mean Agents Hunter (Nick Blood) and Morse (Adrianne Palicki) will be gone for good. “We will miss them, but that doesn't mean they're gone forever because, as everything in the Marvel universe, it's all one universe," Tancharoen said. “It's very bittersweet because we have a bunch of females on the show who kick ass. It was so nice to have Adrianne be one of them,” she added. Not to mention Hunter, who always comes through to lighten the mood with a good laugh.

There were on again-off again rumors about an Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff earlier this year. ABC announced the series, then backed out. Lee reportedly did not want to mess around with the storyline or the energy of the cast as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was hitting its stride at the end of season 2. “We absolutely love those characters on S.H.I.E.L.D,” Lee said.

It appears the network has had a change of heart. IGN reports Tancharoen and Whedon have read the pilot episode and called it “awesome.” If the show gets picked up to series, there’s no word on when to expect the first season. More information about both the plot and release date may come when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns March 8.
