Mary Skelter 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch in Japan on August 22.

The game will be available digitally for ¥6,912 and ¥7,776 physically. The limited edition will be sold for ¥10,476, and includes nine clear cards, a booklet, and a CD with the game's original soundtrack. Those who pre-order the game will get an illustration card with a code for the ‘Jailbreak Support Materials’ to access unique equipment and items, which will all aid the player throughout the game.

As for those looking forward to a Western release, Mary Skelter 2 will also be released digitally for Nintendo Switch at an unannounced date.

Mary Skelter 2 is a sequel to Mary Skelter: Nightmares, a 3D dungeon role-playing game developed and published by both Compile Heart and Idea Factory International two years ago. The sequel includes the whole remade version of Mary Skelter Nightmares as a bundle.

The game revolves around new characters Otsuu and Little Mermaid. Jack, the protagonist of the prequel, will also be a main character. However, this time around, Jack will become a Nightmare.

The features of Mary Skelter 2 have been improved. Every Jail has three wishes that you need to fulfill in order to earn bonuses and to keep the Jail satisfied. If you somehow upset the mood of the Jail, a Nightmare chases you down, and you will enter ‘Nightmare Hunt’ mode. Don’t try fighting a Nightmare, because you won’t stand a chance. You need to destroy the core of the dungeon to defeat Nightmares, if you’re cornered, all you can do is stun it and make your escape.

Jack will still be a playable character despite him being a Nightmare. However, you need to keep watch on his heart rate meter. If it reaches its limit, Jack will enter Ripper Jack mode and cause chaos.

If you think this game is too easy, you can try out the Jail Trial battle system where you can raise the level of difficulty by creating your own set of dungeon conditions. This also gives you more items and experiences. You can even collect Jail Pieces to use for a randomized roulette.
