'Mass Effect Andromeda' Release Date Could Be Revealed This N7 Day, New Screenshots Released

Many Mass Effect fans were disappointed by the lack of updates for Mass Effect Andromeda that came out of E3 and gamescom this year. Fear not, as BioWare is planning something big, appropriately, for this year’s N7 Day.

For those that don’t know, N7 Day is a celebratory day every year for the Mass Effect franchise, taking place on Nov. 7. The past few years have only seen small bits of gameplay and screenshots slip through, but obviously this year something bigger is in the works.

What are we expecting to see? Probably a bunch of story-related news along with a new trailer. If we’re really lucky, BioWare could reveal the release date for Mass Effect Andromeda. We know it will be coming in early 2017, but nothing more specific than that. For reference, Mass Effect 2 released Jan. 26, 2010 and Mass Effect 3 came out March 6, 2012. Seeing a release sometime between those two dates would make the most sense.

To tide us over until November, BioWare has released five new screenshots which all seem to be from the 4K trailer released during the PlayStation Meeting earlier this month. These screens include Ryder exploring a spooky cave and some Asari belly button action. Check them out for yourself below.
