For the past few weeks, players of both GTA Online and Red Dead Online have been complaining about the apparent lack of updates to both games. In particular, Red Dead Online players have been grumbling about this for quite some time. In a report by IGN last week, players have been dressing up as clowns in protest.
It appears that Rockstar Games may have been listening. A “massive new update” is set to arrive for Red Dead Online. That should be good news for all players. As if to up the ante, the update is going to be released on Tuesday, July 28.
So what can players expect with this new update coming to Red Dead Online? There’s going to be a new Frontier Pursuit that is set to introduce players to the secrets of naturalism, which is going to be part of a new Role. There’s also a new Outlaw Pass along with a lot of community-requested features and fixes. Later in the year, players can expect some exciting new extensions plus augmentations to an existing role.
Meanwhile, for GTA Online there’s also going to be a summer update. This one is set to offer a fun mix of diverse new content using the game’s wide range of experiences for everyone to enjoy. A bigger update is slated to be released later this year which features the game’s latest take on Heists in an entirely new location.
Community Feedback
In a statement, Rockstar Games said that they have received submissions through their official feedback channels and as a result have added different highly requested features in recent updates. This includes being able to run all businesses through the Master Control Terminal in GTA Online. Then there are the musical instruments introduced in Red Dead Online. Rockstar went on to say that “more of your suggestions will find their way into our games in the next few weeks, so please keep the feedback coming by sending us your thoughts through the feedback pages of Red Dead Online and GTA Online.”
Rockstar added that they remain committed to making sure that the games are not only fun for everyone, but also safe from modders, cheaters, hackers, and those who just want to harass other players. Rockstar said that “so far this year, we have taken action on hundreds of thousands of players caught violating community rules across both games.”
