The Medium is a psychological horror game in development by Bloober Team. Recently, pre-orders also opened up after the Dual-Reality trailer for the game was released at the Xbox Series X showcase. The Medium is the most ambitious project for Blooper Team, according to the Polish studio. The game is set to launch for Xbox Series X and PC during the Holiday season. However, it is also said that The Medium will also be available on other platforms.
Additionally, PC requirements for The Medium were also revealed through Steam. The requirements include the minimum and recommended specs to run the game at 4K resolution.
Recently, the gameplay footage for The Medium was released by Blooper Team and Microsoft. From the gameplay trailer itself, one can assume what kind of PC power the game will require.
On Xbox Series X, however, The Medium will run at 4K and 30 FPS due to cinematic reasons. Here's what Blooper Team had to say about this in a comment on their YouTube channel: “The game is 4K/30fps. The decision to go with 30 fps is a result of the game's focus on cinematic experience on one hand, and the player's ability to play in 2 worlds at the same time, rendered and displayed simultaneously, on the other hand."
If you decide to play The Medium at 1080P, you will require a minimum of 8GB of RAM and an Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB or AMD Radeon R9 390X graphics card. Running the game at 4K resolution with ray-tracing enabled will require 16GB of RAM and an Nvidia RTX 2080 graphics card.
