METEORA is all set to begin its closed beta test this April 20. The full version is slated to be released in 2022 with a free-to-play demo now available on Steam.
The game is set in space but it's not going to be like other games with similar themes. That's because players take on the role of a meteor, which is just trying to survive. It has players travel between space zones and try to maneuver their way across relentless space by using skills and power-up combinations of their choice. Players can dodge, chase, and even takedown other meteors. It's also possible to get new abilities and experience major space events.
Features of the game are:
- Dodge, Chase, and Plan Take-downs
- You are not alone and death is a constant looming threat.
- Be sure to look out for those rear-view markers and dodge your way out of the other meteors closing behind you.
- Chase and plan those take-downs one by one before the other meteors can take you down.
- Create and Customize Your Own Meteor-Shower
- Possess and create your very own meteor shower to destroy opponents all at once.
- Players can customize their meteor shower formation to maximize the damage and even increase their chances of survival.
- Unlock, upgrade, and combine power-ups and abilities to conquer the journey.
- Use different power-ups obtained by dashing into power-up elements laid out on the course. Strategize the power-up pick-ups and combine them in real-time to get an edge over the action.
- Experience a Fraction of the Universe at Each Level.
- Put those skills and instincts to the test with harder difficulties and unlock hidden boss challenges.
- Players can brave a Gargantua, destroy a planet, save a sun, and experience much more as they go deeper into this universe.
