Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 received a big patch - Update 3. But most of the changes are for planes as expected. There's also some new content arriving in the game.
One of the new pieces of content that players can expect is the FSX legacy liveries, which are now available on appropriate planes. These include Kenmore, Emerald Gold, Global Freightways, Orbit, Pacifica, and World Travel. Besides, contrails are now displayed on the player's aircraft though, MP and AI aren't supported at this time.
Customization Menu
With this update, the customization menu in the World map has been adjusted to make sure that the aircraft in the game matches the real-world models. These include:
- Empty CG position:
- There’s now a different empty CG position, just like in the real world.
- Wear:
- The wear of the fuselage may now be increased.
- This should increase the parasitic drag a bit and simulate an older aircraft.
- Control surface limits:
- The maximum angle limits for elevator, rudder, and aileron control surfaces, can now be adjusted.
- This should simulate the small difference that could exist between various real aircraft.
World Map
The new update introduces several changes to the World Map. Players should be happy to know that runways are now properly set when setting approach. It should be interesting to note as well that all waypoints are now displayed. However, the zoom scores have been changed to balance the number of new points.
