Miniclip Titles Have Reached More than 4 Billion Downloads

A new milestone.
A new milestone. Miniclip

Digital games and entertainment company Miniclip revealed that its mobile games have exceeded a total of 4 billion downloads across different titles. These include the likes of 8 Ball Pool, Agar.io, Baseball Clash, Headball 2, Basketball Stars, Cube Rush, Flip Skater, and Sniper Strike.

This is truly an excellent milestone considering that the studio previously announced back in June 2020 that it had more than 3 billion downloads. Its top game remains to be 8 Ball Pool, which has not only been downloaded 1 billion times but also awarded a Guinness World Records title for being the “most downloaded mobile pool game” in August 2021.

In a statement, Miniclip Chief Analytics Officer Paul Bugryniec revealed that being able to reach 4 billion downloads is a good way to end the first quarter of what could be a fantastic year. He added that they are happy that their games continue to make their way to gamers worldwide. Bugryniec ended by saying that they want to thank Miniclippers, as well as the studios, for helping them get this milestone.

For those not familiar with Miniclip, it’s a company that develops, publishes, and distributes games. It has more than 250 million monthly active users across online, social, and mobile platforms. The company was founded in 2001 and has a portfolio of at least 60 high-quality mobile games. In addition to the game already mentioned, other titles in the portfolio include Golf Battle, Football Strike, and Carrom Pool.

Back in February 2015, Miniclip was fortunate enough to receive a large majority investment from Tencent, responsible for games like League of Legends, Stardew Valley, and Call of Duty: Mobile.

Over the past three years, Miniclip has welcomed teams as part of its growth plans. These include Playsport (Motorsport Manager), Yakuto (Darts of Fury), Masomo (Head Ball 2), Ilyon (Bubble Shooter), Eight Pixels Square (Sniper Strike) operating as Miniclip Derby , Gamebasics (Online Soccer Manager) now operating as Miniclip Netherlands , Green Horse Games (Football Rivals), and Supersonic Software Ltd ., trading as Puzzling.com (Puzzle Page and Picture Cross) to the Miniclip Group.
