Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered players have been requesting a fix for Sniper Collateral Damage since the game released and Raven Software is finally responding to the feedback, confirming that a fix will arrive in the next patch. Raven lead designer Amos Hodge went on Twitter earlier this week to address the issue:
The video by @Kross that Amos is referring to demonstrates that sniper rifles are nerfed from collateral kills. While the sniper from the original Call of Duty 4 could kill as many as 5 players lined up in a row, snipers in the new Modern Warfare Remastered struggle to kill even two. Raven Software tested the difference in collateral damage as well, but players argue the lobby host never yielded high collaterals. Check out more videos demonstrating sniper collateral damage here:
While some players that dislike the sniper class may consider this a change for the better, many players are calling Sniper Collateral Damage in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered broken.
We don't know when the Modern Warfare Remastered update will arrive, but expect changes including spawning improvements, missing kill cams and invisible weapons fixes to join the Sniper Collateral Damage tweak.
