Mr. Robot Season 2 will pick up right after Fsociety’s dropped a cyber-bomb on Evil Corp. Now we have an idea of how Elliot will handle the crippling consequences of his actions, and it’s not looking good. The just-released Mr. Robot trailer highlights the aftermath of the society's Evil Corp hack, and the economic situation is bad enough that even President Obama takes to the podium. The stress may land Elliot a bed in a mental hospital because an already paranoid Elliot appears to become even more anxious and manic in Season 2.
Mr. Robot Season 2 will pick up right after fsociety’s cyber-attack on Evil Corp, and Elliot’s first challenge will be recovering the memories he lost in the three days immediately following the hack. With the economy at bay, and the pressures of leading a hacktivist revolution, how will Elliot deal with the mental torment? If he can’t discern what’s in his head from reality, Elliot’s going to take us on a thrilling, 10-episode rollercoaster that’s even darker than the previous season.
As for Mr. Robot’s new faces, Grace Gummer got the most screen time, showcasing her role as Dominique "Dom" DiPierro, an FBI agent investigating the Evil Corp hack. Brooklyn emcee Joey Bada$$, who plays an old friend of Elliot’s, waits for Elliot at a diner. We also get a glimpse of Craig Robinson at the very end, who plays a friend of Elliots from the neighborhood.
Mr. Robot Season 2 premieres July 13 on USA.
