A leak from EA UK's Twitter account last week revealed a Need For Speed screenshot of a slick '32 Ford hot rod chilling in Ventura Bay. While the tweet was quickly taken down, the image was already circulating in the NFS sub-reddits. Ghost Games Community & Content Lead Ben Walke admitted that even though the leak was an accident, the contents are true and there will be more to come as well.
"Going to wait until there's official info before I start talking but yes, it's clear something went live before it was supposed to," said Walke. "These things happen from time to time on the internet. Let's hold our hands up and just admit it. We'll move on, learn from what happened and we'll all joke about it in a few days time.
"In short, yes an update is coming. No, I don't have more details for you yet. No, that car is not the only thing in it," Walke continued. "I'd recommend reserving judgement until you get the full info, is easy to base an opinion on a solitary screenshot, you may be pleasantly surprised."
Earlier today, the official Need for Speed Twitter account announced the following: "Tomorrow. Under the Hood. Get Ready."
In the first leaked screenshot from last week, we saw the front half of the old Deuce, which featured a moon tank, classic white wall tires, chopped roof, and chrome pipes. This time, the rear shows us a more sinister side, complete with fat drag radials and flame spitting exhaust.
There you have it! This time tomorrow, we'll know more about the contents in the next Need For Speed update. Walke teased that the hot rod won't be the only thing in the new update, so it would be exciting to learn whether NFS will extensively expand its vehicle roster. Will a Nissan 350Z be in the horizon?
