Good news for PC players! The new Scaleblight Mythal Epic Adventure for Neverwinter is now live. This is the final neighborhood of the Dragonbone Vale Adventure Zone.
This latest Epic Adventure introduces the Scaleblight Summit region, which serves as the conclusion of the Dragonbone Vale story. The final Heroic Encounter is titled “Scales to Bones” and features a challenging fight against an ancient Red Dragon and new rewards.
To reclaim the Dragonbone Vale, players need to team up with members of the Shield of the North Alliance to put a stop to Valindra Shadowmantle and the Cult of the Dragon from invoking the Rite of the Dracolich, which brings undeath to all dragons in Faerûn.
PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players have to wait until March 1 to enjoy this new Epic Adventure. That’s because Dragonbone Vale just arrived on consoles early this month.
In addition to Scaleblight Mythal, players can also enjoy these Dragonbone Vale features:
- Grappling Hook Mechanics
- These now allow players to grapple with a grappling hook to specific and designated spots. For now, this is limited to Dragonbone Vale.
- Faction Reputation System
- Finishing faction-specific quests allow players to build reputation with each of the four factions. They can then unlock different rewards and features, such as faction cosmetics and companion gear.
- The Crown of Keldegonn Trial
- This new 10-player trial has heroes fight against Valindra and the dracolich Palhavorithyn atop the dwarven ruins of Keldegonn.
Feast of Lanterns
In addition to the new adventure, players can also enjoy The Feast of Lanterns Event. This is to celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Tiger from February 10 to February 17. Additional details of this event are:
- Event Quests
- Nightly Fireworks
- Help the Kozakuran pyrobolist out by setting off fireworks near the Hall of Justice.
- Red Envelopes
- Deliver red envelopes to fledgling adventurer NPCs in Protector’s Enclave.
- Comfort Dog
- The dog-loving Kozakuran envoy is asking for help comforting dogs startled by his fireworks.
- The first completion of this quest rewards the /pet emote.
- Helpful tip: Scared pups may be hard to spot so keep those ears open for their whimpers to locate them.

- New Year’s Tiger Mount (requires Lunar Coins)
Neverwinter is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
