Some hot rumors for the new Legend of Zelda game has just been revealed on Twitter by Emily Rodgers, better known as @ArcadeGirl64. According to her, there are three large rumors she has had confirmed by reliable sources.

The first rumor is that the new Legend of Zelda game will be getting a release for both the Wii U and the Nintendo NX, or whatever the new console ends up getting named. This isn't too surprising, as Nintendo has taken a similar approach in the past. When Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was first released, it came to both GameCube and Wii. Seeing a multi-platform release makes sense from a business perspective as well, seeing as how the install base for the Nintendo NX will likely be much smaller than the number of Wii U gamers out there.

The second rumor is really the biggest one here. According to Rodgers, this new Legend of Zelda game will allow for players to pick if they want to be a male or female Link. It's very doubtful this will impact the story at all, so it's cool to see Nintendo making the Zelda franchise more inclusive. Fans have already speculated if the Link we have seen in trailers is a male or female, so maybe both sides were right.

The last rumor is actually kind of funny. The new Zelda game will apparently be largely voice acted, except for Link of course. Many fans have speculated on what Link would sound like, and it seems we will still have to wait. The voice cast will be for the NPC characters that Link will interact with on his (or her) journey.

This is the most information we have heard about this new game since Nintendo released the first trailer at E3 two years ago. Naturally, like any other rumor found online, this information should not be taken as absolute truth. While Rodgers mentions she has heard these rumors from multiple reliable sources, it could still end up being false in some capacity. Remember folks, never fully trust anything you read about video games unless it's coming straight from the developers or publisher.

So what do you think? Are you excited to learn if these rumors are accurate? What other information would you like to know about the next Legend of Zelda game? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
