A new NieR: Automata trailer was shown during PlayStation Japan’s pre-TGS press conference, which confirmed we won’t see the highly-anticipated action-RPG before year’s end, but there’s still no word on when Square Enix believes NieR: Automata will be available to U.S. consumers. At least not since the “early 2017” timeframe provided during E3 2016 .

If you aren’t fluent in Japanese, we aren’t sure how much you’re going to be able to take away from the latest NieR: Automata trailer. For starters, the clip is just over a minute long and (by our estimate) less than twenty seconds of the video features actual gameplay footage. And even those moments aren’t much more than still shots of characters we’ll meet while playing the game.

The upside to this week’s trailer is that it finally provides a timeline for the game’s Japanese launch. According to the game’s latest trailer, NieR: Automata will be available to Japanese consumers on Feb. 23, 2017, a little over five months from now. Unfortunately, there’s been no word on when NieR: Automata will come to Europe or North America, and the game’s late February debut suggests Square Enix could have difficulty meeting its original launch timeline in these regions.

For a closer look at NieR: Automata, take a minute to check out the latest trailer from Square Enix and/or dedicate a larger chunk of time to reviewing the boss battle shown at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo. Then head down to the comments section and let us know when you think NieR: Automata will finally be available for purchase in the US.

NieR: Automata is in development for PlayStation 4 and PC. The game is currently expected to make its Western debut sometime in early 2017.
