While Nintendo has been a little shy about letting gamers rep their favorite franchises in its successful social app Miitomo, that will all change next week.
From April 27 to May 29, gamers will have more options than a mere Mario hat to choose from. Nintendo is introducing some funky-fresh threads from their surprise hit Splatoon, including shoes, shorts, t-shirts and wigs. These will not be purchasable in the Miitomo Shop but will instead be obtainable through the Miitomo Drop mini-game, which involves a pinball-esque set-up where your friends’ Miis are the pinball.
Characteristically bright squid pins can also be purchased using regular coins in the Miitomo Shop. There will even be a Splatoon ink tank available in a slew of different colors redeemable through My Nintendo Platinum Points, obtained by completing in-game missions.
On top of all of that, Nintendo is running a special Twitter promotion. If enough people retweet the following tweet, Nintendo promises some special Splatoon-themed in-app gifts:

According to Nintendo, the requirements are as follows:
More than 10,000 Retweets = Inkling boy wig (so fresh!)
More than 20,000 Retweets = Inkling boy wig and Inkling girl wig (super fresh!)
(Miitomo users must launch the app and claim any Splatoon promo items from their gift box between April 27th, 2016 and May 29th, 2016)
